Ambition Lancashire
Ambition Lancashire is the Sustainable Community Strategy for Lancashire. It looks to our future and describes what we want to achieve for the county by the year 2025.
The document was first produced in 2005 but has been updated in 2008. Ambition Lancashire was never intended to be a static document and it recognised that changing circumstances would need to be monitored and the strategy reviewed periodically to keep it focused on key issues and priorities.
In 2007 although only two years had passed we stareted a review of Ambition Lancashire because there had been significant changes to the context in which it existed as well as to the importance of particular policy issues.
The first version of Ambition Lancashire was produced in 2005, in 2008 it was revised see above. The links below explain how the 2005 version of Ambition Lancashire, was developed. The 2005 version of Ambition Lancashire first set out the strategic vision and ambitions for 2025. Although the vision and ambitions were reviewed as part of the 2008 update, much of the orignal broad framework set out in the strategic vision in 2005 was still felt to be relevant.
