Community Safety in Lancashire

• In 2001/02 the rate of domestic burglary in Lancashire was 19 per 1,000 households. In 17 wards the rate was over 41 per 1,000.

• The rate of violent crime was 11.5 per 1,000 population. The rate of reported domestic violence was 12 per 1,000 population.

• The rate of drug related crime in Lancashire was 1.9 per 1,000 population. The majority of drug crimes were possession.
